Open the windows, let the sound of the rain in, and enjoy 🙂
I love rainy days (I mean as long as I don’t have to walk anywhere). I especially love rainy days in the spring and summer when it’s warmer and there’s a breeze. The sound of the rain, mixed with the breeze, mixed with the darker sky all just feels peaceful to me.
And, rainy days have a more relaxed and chilled vibe that tends to influence my music choices. For me, Adele’s first album, 19, is the epitome of rainy day music. I’ve chosen a few from that album for my rainy day playlist and have also added sultry, soothing voices such as Norah Jones and Etta James.
I’ve also chosen some songs that never fail to give me peace of mind, such as “Over the Rainbow,” “Landslide,” and “Blackbird.” For me (and hopefully for you), this rainy day playlist contains songs that help to ease the soul as the rain provides comforting white noise in the background.
