It’s been a little while since my last post which is due to a combination of the school semester coming to an end and honestly, procrastination. In the time I had in between papers and exams and drinking copious amounts of coffee I found myself being sucked into Netflix vortex’s and into new music playlists and into trying to figure out how in the h*ll Pretty Little Liars is going to be able to fill up all of its plot holes before the final season ends.
So – in the past month I have been consuming a mountain of tv, music, ted talks, and really anything that could distract me from the fact that I still didn’t know what the point of one of my classes was even as I sat down to take the final.
But anyway – I can put that behind me now.
And I can sit down and talk about some of the entertainment I have been into lately!
I have been re-watching Friends on Netflix in the last month or so because I needed something lighthearted and funny. It really is such a lovable show (but in the process I found myself really disliking Ross).
As long as they keep making new seasons of survivor I will most likely keep watching them.
Pretty Little Liars
Oh PLL, how I love and hate you. So many plot holes, so many cringey romantic plot lines, so little character development. But! They must be doing something right because it’s been 7 years and here I am.
I listen to a TON of music everyday so I couldn’t possibly list out everything I’ve been into – but here are a couple of songs I’ve had on repeat lately.
Symphony by Clean Bandit ft. Zara Larsson
Bad Liar by Selena Gomez
Tears Dry on Their Own by Amy Winehouse
Heatstroke by Calvin Harris ft. Young Thug, Pharrell Williams, and Ariana Grande
(just in general)
A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas
This book is over 700 pages so it might take me a while but it’s the 3rd in a trilogy so – slowly but surely, it will get read.
If I Should Have a Daughter by Sarah Kay
I actually wrote a final paper for one of my English classes this past semester on this Ted Talk by Sarah Kay. In it she delivers a spoken word poem and talks about the importance of expressing creativity through spoken word poetry. She’s really quite captivating.
What have you been listening to/watching/reading/etc.?
