This Thanksgiving we are thankful for the ‘Gilmore Girls’ revival!
After almost 10 years without the Gilmore girl’s quick wit and love of coffee we finally get to revisit them on Netflix in ‘Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.’ The revival will be composed of four, 90-minute episodes that follow the girls throughout the course of a year – and it almost seems too good to be true.
EVERYONE is in it. Sookie, Kirk, Taylor, Miss Patty, Babette, Lane, Paris, Michel, I could go on.
All three of Rory’s main boys made an appearance in the trailer – and I would just like to go on the record and say that I am team Jess.
(Although I am also open to a new boy being introduced.)
Which leads to number 3: Milo Ventimiglia is back and rocking a ‘stache.
Luke is back and still harping on the girls’ questionable eating habits.
(Out of love, of course.)
Lauren Graham’s line delivery still screams Lorelai Gilmore.
(“Teppanyaki: Grill of Death!”)
The town still looks as quintessential as ever.
(Especially in the winter – that snow sparkles.)
Although it’s going to make us sob, it seems like they plan on doing incredible justice to the passing of Edward Herrmann.
And while we’re on the topic, Kelly Bishop is still as intimidating and lovable as ever.
(Emily is a force to be reckoned with – even while mourning.)
Rory’s struggle with finding herself couldn’t be more relatable.
(TBH, the underwear thing is relatable too.)
- Town Meetings!!!
No matter what, where the Gilmore girls lead, we’ll follow – and we will get to follow them on Netflix this Friday, November 25th (at 12:01 a.m., to be exact.)
